Prologue 

 

A week ago, I had one of the worst punts of my life.

 

Consequently, I've been mulling over the terrible experience, which created this intense desire of rectifying the situation — punting's version of doubling down.

 

I have visited every single one of Perth's main brothels, but I hadn't been to Langtrees in a while.

 

I have been critical of Langtrees because their line-ups are not value-for-money. 

 

Though, Langtrees owner Mary-Anne Kenworthy has been proactive in demanding her escorts improve their attitude, performance, have new professionally-taken photos and maintain a presence on Talkinsex — the brothel's forum.

 

That said, the winning move by Mary-Anne is abandoning the obtuse requirement of punters having to pay before roaming around the lounge, essentially generating a going in blind mentality. 

 

Now you can enter Langtrees free of charge, talk to the escorts and then make an informed decision of either booking or walking out. 

 

When I walked in to Langtrees, I didn't fancy any of their escorts. It was a kaleidoscope of cultures, but the attractiveness ratings ranged from 5/10 to 6.5/10.

 

The receptionist Teresa recommended I wait for Jade Layne, who was in a booking. As Jade walked out, I opened up my wallet. 

 

 

Intel

 

40 minute booking: $300.

Extra [French kissing]: $50.

Wallet damage: $350.

Glad to hear Mary-Anne K has come to terms with the absurdity of Langtrees' previous business model and made the necessary changes. Unfortunately it sounds like those changes may have come at a cost, that of allowing their girls to charge extras now. I didn't think their girls charged for extras before but I could be wrong.

Replacing a cover charge with an extras charge is simply proof of that. Langtrees will continue to be a thing of the past and continue in its slow demise. Sad really, for when it was first established it ushered in a new era in the sex business, but times them do change and sex workers need to change with it. I once told Langtrees receptionist Lana that I wasn't happy with the current business model. She would tell me something along the lines of management having a look, which at the time I thought was just lip-service. Credit to her, she was telling the truth. 

 

Some of Langtrees escorts were charging extras before the abolition of book-before-you-see. Last August, Bridgette charged me $50 extra for kissing. Also, two years ago, Mila charged me $50 for kissing.

Before Langtrees, I visited Caseys Massage and City West Massage. I was looking for the ever-elusive Vanessa, but she is still missing in action at Caseys. I agree with you 100%, Ultraboy. Thankfully, I hear MAK's retiring this year so hopefully some younger person with fresh ideas will take over and infuse new blood into her stagnant business. Nevertheless, you gotta give credit to MAK for going from an escort herself to running one of the most successful brothel/escort businesses in Australia with brothels in Perth, Canberra and Darwin.
